Home visitors navigate complex challenges to support children and families — yet their work often goes unrecognized by program leadership, local communities, and society at large. Research shows that when staff feel appreciated, they report higher motivation, greater job satisfaction, and are less likely to leave their jobs. Yet in a national study, only one third of home visitors were completely satisfied with how their accomplishments were acknowledged.
When home visitors feel seen and valued, they are more motivated, more engaged, and more likely to stay.
