The Institute for Home Visiting Workforce Development is hosting a Supervisor Community of Practice!

Are you looking for an opportunity to build connections with peers, share innovative practices, and join a space to focus on your professional growth? The Institute for Home Visiting Workforce Development is offering a free Community of Practice focused on Supporting and Retaining a Thriving Home Visiting Workforce. Click the title link to learn more!

What is it: This community of practice is for home visiting supervisors to regularly share real-life challenges, exchange ideas, and work together to improve their day-to-day supervision and leadership.

Who is it for: The Community of Practice is open to up to 60 home visiting supervisors from across the country, regardless of state/territory/Tribal community, funding source, program model, or years of experience.

What you can expect:

  • Participation in one year of the Community of Practice cohort. Each year the Community of Practice will be offered to a new group of participants.
  • 6 meetings across the year centered around learning from and supporting each other. Meetings will be scheduled every other month, on the 2nd Wednesday of that month, from 2-3pm ET:
    • July 9, 2025
    • Sept 10, 2025
    • Nov 12, 2025
    • Jan 14, 2026
    • Mar 11, 2026
    • May 13, 2026
  • Ability to discuss challenges, best practices, and resources for staff retention and well-being. Each year we will take a “deep dive” focus into one topic associated with supporting and retaining a thriving home visiting workforce.
  • Peer connections with supervisors from across the country
  • Resource sharing and networking opportunities
